‘Beside Yourself’ is a wonderful collaborative track from The Phoenix Foundation and dream-pop specialist Fazerdaze. The six-piece are able to blend genres effortlessly, working distorted guitar lines into this dreamy, folky landscape of a track. Fazerdaze explains that working with the band “was special for (her). To see the inner workings of their creative process while they were still in the thick of their new material was special.” The Kiwi band have dropped seven albums over the course of two decades, with their work on Hunt For The Wilderpeople giving them a chance to craft an impressive soundtrack. -Dan Peeke
